Hello,
Desmond here, is my 5th Level Ranger. A few sessions ago, I got my animal companion - Sahrek the wolf. I don't know if I've created him correctly.
1. CRB states that animal companions start with 2HD (d8s). So, does the animal companion start with 16 HP (2 full d8s before Con modifiers) or 13 HP (1 full d8 + the PFS standard 5 HP for every additional level/HD)? I hope that question is clear.
Actually, that's really my only question. I think I got everything else right. Please feel free to check out Sahrek's stats on my character Profile in the last spoiler tab.
Any feedback is welcome.

Okay, so then the animal companion should get 5 HP per hit die?
He gets average, so on a d8 that's 4.5, rounded down. So at level 5, he'll have 5 HD.
(5*4.5)=22.5; rounded down = 22.
Then you'll add his CON modifier for each level and bonus hit points from Toughness if he has it.

I see. I was using the 5 HP based on the PFS Guide for PCs that use the d8 hit die. I'll recalculate that now.
So, the wolf will be at 2nd level, since for Rangers the animal companion is basically -3 from the Ranger's level.
3HD (3*4.5)=13.5; rounded down = 13.
Con modifier is +2 =13+6=19.
Okay, that all makes sense.
Thank you!

Sorry, another question that occurred to me. I gave him the Weapon Focus (bite) Feat. Now, the wolf gets a trip attempt when he successfully bites an opponent. Will the +1 granted from the Weapon Focus apply to the CMB for the trip attempt.
This could go either way, but I'm tempted to say that it does count, since the wolf is using the bite to trip, but that may not be the case.

Yes, it will count. Since the attack roll for the trip is being delivered by the bite, you will get the +1 to the roll from your Weapon Focus.
When you attempt to perform a combat maneuver, make an attack roll and add your CMB in place of your normal attack bonus. Add any bonuses you currently have on attack rolls due to spells, feats, and other effects.
That second sentence means that if you're a creature that gets an automatic followup disarm, sunder, or trip on a successful attack roll, any extra bonuses to the normal attack roll apply to the free followup combat maneuver. It doesn't matter if the weapon is normally a "trip weapon" or not, you get the bonus.Example: A wolf with a +1 enhancement bonus on its bite attacks from a magic fang applies that +1 to its free trip combat maneuver. Likewise, an advanced/companion wolf with Weapon Focus (bite) applies that +1 to its free trip combat maneuver.
