The Star Wars

Comics

Has anyone else starting reading this new series from Dark Horse based on the early drafts of Star Wars by Lucas? So far, I'm really enjoying it. I like seeing how various character and place names get shifted around from the familiar arrangement of the films.

The Exchange

Absolutely, the evolution of names and places is pretty cool. Stunning cover art as well.

The Exchange

I get the concept but I'm not on fire about it. To be honest, Star Wars fans have a tendency to get angry about the degrees of official canon and continuity they already had; this'll just add an extra flavor to the Forum Pie Fight.

(I happen to like three Star Wars movies and four or five of the novels; but the hardcore members of the fandom unnerve me, you know?)

It's my favorite comic that isn't Invincible or Ultimate Spider Man, right now, honestly.

Screw canon on "Star Wars," it applies not to The Star Wars, and I'm fine with that.

So who besides me got the Hardcover collection?

Spoiler:
And then promptly ran around their house like a kid on Christmas giggling uncontrollably?

Didn't know there was a hardcover collection.

Now you do! And now you must buy it!

The Force Of Others compels you!

Also, my huge huge HUGE fanboy moment was when, last Wednesday night, Mike Mayhew (artist for the series who does not only the interiors but also those AMAZING old-fashioned movie poster style covers) retweeted my post praising the heck out of the hardcover.

Best twenty minutes of my life ever, I tell you.

The Force of Others? Didn't Lucas originally dub it the "Bogan Force" (along with giving other corny names like Legions of Lettow and stuff)?
