Mythic spellcasting

Advice

My DM has just decided to go Mythic for one of our campaigns. He is concerned about the various paths (Archmage & Heirophant) that allow extra casting of spells, such as Arcane Surge or Wild Arcana. He is worried that this means 5 or more extra casting of the spellcasters highest level spell. Has this been an issue? Is there anything you suggest to calm his concerns here?

Liberty's Edge

It is Mythic, there are way more powerful things in that book. It makes a prepared caster more flexible and a save or suck caster more likely to make someone suck. But then again, there are powers in there that allow someone to jump miles.

Yes, but is this path game breaking when first introduced?

If he makes you mythic, but drops you into non-mythic scenarios, pretty much, yep. If you write a Spider-Man story and suddenly drop Superman into it, it's going to be a pretty short story.

If he adjusts the encounters to account for your new found mythic super powers, it should be no problem. If your one mythic tier is a problem, he should give the BBEG 3 tiers to compensate. ;)
