Expansion Decks - Bane and Boon

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

I'm a Runebound fan and the expansion decks (four categories, six decks in each) really gave some added legs to the base game.

I'd imagine that most folks really want more Adventures, Locations and Scenarios (beyond the ROTRL AP). Which would be cool.

But I really hope some Bane and Boon decks are made for the Base game. More cards, like a deck from Ultimate Equipment or Artifacts & Legends, or Bestiary decks, would give more variety to the Base game's existing Locations. Replays would be freshened up with a wider variety of cards and extend the game's shelf life.

Not implying it wouldn't take resources, and I'll be buying a sequel when/if it comes out, but the foundation is there to build on.

Heck, cross promote Bestiary 4 with a deck!

This is a great game.

So, is that a vote for Cthulhu in PACG?

Personally, I'd rather see Bestiary 1 as an expansion pack first.

But I do like the idea of expansion packs not tied to specific scenarios, just to let people design their own scenarios. Locations and banes would probably have to come first, to add variety to the scenarios you can create. Adding boons would come after that.

I like that the cards are all themed to the AP. I like that the fan scenarios created are based in and around Sandpoint. I can't wait for more AP-based card games.

What I'd like to see is a generic Pathfinder Card Game, though I think that might be too broad. Perhaps this version would not come with any Adventure or Scenario cards...
Perhaps this box would include a booklet of Adventures and Scenarios similar to those being created here. It would need to have an enormous number of locations.

Perhaps the generic Pathfinder Card Game will have add-on decks that include the Adventures and Scenarios based on the PFS scenarios, perhaps one season at a time. These would include Villains and Henchmen as well.

I see the base game as having a ROTRL flavor, but the game is a standalone product in itself. It essentially is a generic Pathfinder Card Game already. Or, it would be with non-ROTRL expansion decks..
