Antimagic Field + Flying Familiar. Is there any other way to do this?

Advice

Scarab Sages

So here is an idea that I suppose is used routinely by high level wizards:

Share an antimagic field with your flying familiar and "deliver" it to the bad guys by having the familiar fly above them. This turns off their magic, and if you position yourself right, all the buffs, and magic items on YOUR side still function normally.

Very cool tactic.

But is there any other way in the rules to do this for the "non-familiar" using casters?

Shadow Lodge

Arcane Archer.

Scarab Sages

Great! Add it to an arrow. Not mobile, after deployed, but effective.

was about to say--you're putting a very large arrow-magnet on your FAMILIAR.this is generally a bad idea since it tends to end in a dead familiar and a sad wizard.
