Magus question

Rules Questions

This is my first Magus and I want to be sure I have a basic understanding on how the Spell Combat and Spell Strike thing works.

The character is lvl 2

As a full round action, he can declare Spell combat and spell strike,
Then he:
- makes a melee attack at -2 (or I can lower attack roll to add to concentration checks, at 1 for 1)
- casts shocking grasp
- (spellstrike ability) makes another melee attack, where if it hits will discharge the spell into the target (the crit stuff is pretty clear to me)

Yes, or he can:

declare Spell combat as a full round action (you don't need to declare spellstrike, it happens automatically)
Then he:
- casts shocking grasp
- try to deliver the shocking grasp trough a touch attack or through his weapon thanks to the spellstrike ability (with a -2 to the to hit as he has used spell combat)
- make his regular attack at -2 (and if the first attack was unsuccessful he can deliver the shocking grasp wit this attack if he hit).

However, what you cannot do is, once you get to +6 BAB and get 2 iteratives, make your +6 attack, cast your spell, then make your +1 attack. The spell must come either before all your iterative attacks, or after all your iterative attacks; not amongst them.
