changeling rogue for wrath of the rightious

Advice

Hello a few days a go I posted a really. Vague plan for this ap. I came up with a character and we have done the first session but I want to avoid problems when we get to high levels.

Anyhow I came up with Agatha, changling rogue who will be on the trickster path. The plan currently is 5 lvls of rogue then 10 lvls of low templar.

Thematically thiz works out well because I have 3 built in moral choices and can reflect that in both the darkness light decisions and the confrontation with her mother.

Anyhow I have 10 str 14 dex 12 con 10 wis 17 cha.

And plan for the trickster path.

The problem I'm running into is I don't have a lot of experience after lvl 10. The character as I have it planned now works fine to that point. I could pump her charisma up and use itemz for her dex.

Trickster in combat trickery and some other abilities seems to support this.

So would just pumping charisma be fine as far as the mythic stuff goes? Or leave her too far behind the other characters in terms of combat?

I was also thinking of grabbing eldritch heritage and the accursed bloodline then mythic eldritch heritage.

The other option is to bump cha to 18 at 4 then everything dex after that.

Bump

Hrm I'm beginning to wonder if the mythic stuff is too new to really get an answer. Sadly I can see some of the potential problems with the char after 10.but not sure how to solve them.

I'd say that you have an opportunity for a skill-based Rogue with diplomatic leanings. Drop the Charisma by one point, buy a couple points of Intelligence. And you'll have the opportunity to buy up several stats by +2 if you wish with Mythic Tiers (once you get to the 3rd Tier that is).

Don't worry about combat as much. You can take several approaches here. One possibility would be a ranged rogue using sneak attack ranged attacks with the bow when using a Mythic strike. A Dex of 14 is actually good (+2 bonus) and can raise further so you should do fine with this.

Alternatively, you can go for a Feint Thief using a Rapier. Still, I believe diplomacy is a good route to go. And I love your backstory, that of which you've hinted at at least.

Basically, the Mythic stuff works pretty much as a supercharged version of the usual stuff. Plus some extra goodies. But generally, if you're just wanting to pump charisma, then do it! Although... you may get yourself in trouble if you're not able to adequately defend yourself in combat - this is the Worldwound, after all, and most of the demons (flunkies especially) won't be too interested in diplomatic discourse. And you may experience some frustration from co-players if you're unable to contribute effectively in combat. But then, you can always be a good support-role person, which is just as important as a heavy-hitter in this AP. Basically it's your choice- play who you wanna play. :)

Well I had thought about some of that. There seems to be a way for mythic characters to force diplomacy. But it requires two things.

First, when she hits lvl 10 she would have to choose darkness from the darkness light ability.

Then use the trickster ability to take a power from another path and grab the hirophant ability that forces people the same alignment as you ro be one step friendlier.

So the demons and cultists are forced to be in a position where I could use diplomacy. I think there ia also a trickster build that allows some extra stuff if they are at least indifferent.

The problem though is this looks like the sort of idea that's interesting as a thought exersize but wouod probably in practice frustrate a dm.

I think what I will do though is split my leveling stat stuff and the mythic stat stuff. So it isn't so 1 dimensionally focused on charisma.

Will still result in a 28 charisma before gear at lvl 20 and supporr the eldritch heritage stuff with acxursed bloodline.

Here's something to consider: the Dual Path Feat. Go Trickster/Marshall. Thus you're a huge support for the rest of the group with Marshall abilities but still have Trickster abilities to assist with your combative talents as well.
