            I disagree.
It meanders a bit in the middle but it's not bad.
I'm trying to find something good to say about it, but the only thing I can come up with it, that Lauren Ambrose is in it and that she's absolutely terrific. But if even Captain Jack comes across as lukewarm, there's no hope left.

It meanders a bit in the middle but it's not bad.
I enjoyed the story, but overall I agreed that it wasn't anywhere near as good as the first two seasons, or even as good as Children of Earth. It definitely had way too much padding in it.
Unfortunately Russell T. Davies has said that if he ever continues the series, this is the format he wants to keep. No more monster of the week, just longer storylines.
