So I wanted to ask a question comparing two Mythic Abilities.
Sustained by Faith (Su): You require no food, water, or sleep. If you have abilities or class features that require rest before they can be regained, you can choose to regain them once per day by spending 1 hour in uninterrupted meditation. If you are 3rd tier or higher, you can expend one use of mythic power in order to also not need to breathe for 24 hours.
Sleepless (Su): You no longer require sleep, don’t become fatigued or exhausted from lack of sleep, and are immune to sleep effects. If you have abilities or class features that require rest before they can be regained, you can choose to regain them once per day by spending 1 hour in uninterrupted meditation.
As far as I can tell, the way these two are written indicate the the former does not remove the fatigue/exhaustion effects from lack of sleep. That then begs the question:
What does "not requiring sleep" actually grant as a benefit? If you don't require sleep but still suffer fatigue/exhaustion from not sleeping, then that sucks. If you don't regain HP/Ability damage since you aren't sleeping (or "rest"), what is the benefit?

I would assume that if you no longer require sleep, which if you attempt to go without you suffer penalties, then I would think that not needing to sleep would waive those penalties eh?
Because those who need sleep and go without it get penalties. If you don't need to sleep then why would you still get the penalties?
Not requiring sleep would mean that you can take the full watch, you can still rest to benefit from hp/ability damage healing.

That's why I'm curious. The two different wordings has me confused about whether or not being fatigued is separate from not needing sleep. My default assumption for what "not needing sleep" means is that I don't take penalties from not sleeping, but I don't heal damage unless I rest. But any other weigh-ins?

The second adds further clarification as to what not needing sleep entails. This does not mean that Sustained by Faith does not add these benefits.

And in both cases, you still don't recover any HP without actually resting for 8 hours (or 2 with ring of sustenance), right?
And just so I'm clear. The big difference between the two:
Sustained By Faith: No need for food or drink, use Mythic Power to avoid breathing for 24 hours.
Sleepless: Immune to sleep effects.
Otherwise, they function identically?
