optimizing my Inquisitor

Advice

hello im playing an Inquisitor in my friends homebrew campaign and I was looking for advice on optimizing him. Here is him currently

Travis Ashentail
Lvl 6 (he just hit 7) Inquisitor

Stats (our dm had us roll 5d6 taking the highest 3 which is why my stats are so good):
Str 20
Dex 16
Con 16
Int 14
Wis 16
Cha 12

Feats:
Lvl 1: power attack Toughness
Lvl 3: Weapon Focus (greatsword)
Lvl 5: Extended bane
Lvl 7: ?????
I Also have the Outflank and Precise Strike teamwork feats from the inquisitor class feature

He is currently using a +1 keen impacting Great sword

His chosen domain is fire (as our group has little arcane casters)

Currently im thinking of going hellknight for the extra armor plus the smite if so I need the heavy armor proficiency feat. I also want to take critical focus to help with my 17-20 crit range and the critical feats I can take after that. also with the interesting way we roll initiative taking improved initiative would be very usefull.

Any help or advice you can be offered would be greatly useful and if you need any more information just ask!

so with the greatsword he is currently doing 6d6 (when flanking with bane active) +26(7 for strength + 6 for power attack +12 for destruction judgement + 1 for weapon enchantment)

Liberty's Edge

How are you getting +12 from destruction? You should be at +3 right now.

The book reads that you do an +3(at this level I didnt realize it got better this lvl) on all weapon damage rolls.

Liberty's Edge

Right a +3 but you listed a +12 on in your second post.

Oh I was adding them together so it was plus 2 on each roll and with 6 rolls that's +12(2x6). My group doesn't know if you add it to the bane and precise strike rolls but that's how we have been doing it so we don't care that much about it.

Liberty's Edge

You should be doing 6d6 + 7 strength + 6 power attack + 3 destruction as you have just one attack as the bane and percise are just bonuses to the damage. Though if you want to home rule it differently you certainly can (and would please covince my GM to let my inquisitor do it also). :)

Also, with bane active, your weapon becomes a +3 weapon, so you need to add two more to the 'weapon enchantment' portion of your damage list.

Furious focus is nice for a power attacking great sword

It only applies once per attack, not once per die rolled.

So on each attack with all that you have listed, it should be 6d6 (1d6 precise, 2d6 bane, 3d6 impact greatsword) + 19 (7 str, 6 PA, 1 weapon, 2 bane, 3 destruction) per swing.
