Silver Crusade

So today I was playing pathfinder today when I got a call saying a loved one had died. I was too upset to keep playing so I left in the middle of it. Do I still count as playing that one or what happened? I didn't get a chronicle sheet or anything.I'm just not what you do with my situation.

I want to start by saying that I am sorry for your loss.

I would talk to your GM to see how they handled your departure due to the news you received if you made them aware of the situation.

Without knowing what scenario you were playing or at what point you left, I would not be able to give a worse case scenario. Best case would be that it was not counted due to the situation. It would be sad if you did not get another shot at this scenario/module when you were able to play it with a clear head (understandable as to why you left).

Again, my condolences on your loss and my hopes for a favorable outcome to this situation.

This sounds like a special case, but normally when a player leaves before the game is finished they are given a Chronicle sheet as follows:

If they left before the GM started the adventure (usually the mission briefing) they really haven't participated, would not get a Chronicle, and would be able to play it later for credit.

If they were there after the GM began the adventure but before they had completed 3 encounters then they would get 0 XP, whatever PP they had earned (most likely 0) and whatever gold/treasure they had found so far.

If they completed at least 3 encounters then they would get 1 XP and whatever PP they earned and whatever gold/treasure had been found so far.

These values would be halved for slow advancement characters.

My condolences.

I would talk to the event coordinator and the relevant Venture-Captain about this situation to see what can be worked out.

Very sorry for your loss - that's not easy for anybody, and gaming has to take a back seat to the real world. Personally, in that situation, I'd find it hard to believe that a GM wouldn't give you at least a little bit of leeway.
