I'm beginning to hear rumours of things that aren't appearing on the Goblinworks blog or stickied in this forum so I'm requesting that the goblinworks team (or community focused person) compile a sticky on these forums for those of us that just don't have the time trawl through every post or visit fan sites.
As a Kickstarter backer I feel that I am not getting as much information as I should when compared to other Kickstarter projects I have backed in the past.
I would love to see some myths busted or proven to be fact.
For example, is it true that Pathfinder Online Sieges must now be scheduled. I have heard this to be recent news but I have not seen anything about it on these message boards or on the goblinworks blog.

The big problems with such a program is that EVERYTHING is subject to change. Details like the timing of sieges are so up in the air that a sticky covering all of the possibilities would be about as large or larger than the entire development posts.
Where did you hear about sieges being scheduled? That sounds like a Darkfall mechanic that might be thrown around as an idea, and I in principle like some of the behavior that emerges, but I haven't seen anything beyond a vulnerability window set by the defender in any officialish form.

It sounds as if Elth may be talking about this:
At its heart, the PvP window is a limited span of time each day during which a settlement's NPC defenses are lowered, making it easier for enemy players to attack the settlement. This window of vulnerability is set by the rulers of the settlement so they can make sure it matches up with the time their people are most likely to be online. The larger the PvP window is, the higher the settlement's Development Indexes can grow.
While the PvP window is closed, the settlement is defended by a large number of NPC guards from one of the major alliances in the game...
This was followed by an off-hand reference from Ryan:
The PvP window idea that we're working on makes it hard to kill a small Settlement. But you are going to be faced with the meaningful choice that growth lowers your security. To continue to strive for depth in character development and crafting infrastructure, you will need to grow.
Some people may decide to stop developing and hold at a smaller size. Displacing them will be very hard (it will require overwhelming force applied in a very narrow window of time). But they'll face the competitive pressures that will come to bear as other Settlements develop and attractive to destinations for those players who seek a deeper development path.
Given that those references came from the blog and board, however, and Elth specifically said he/she had heard something not in either, leaves my interpretation open to question.

Sounds to me the scheduled siege is prolly a mashing of a few concepts. the pvp window of a settlement being one and anything the size of a siege will have to be scheduled with other settlement members to have enough people online to give it a go. i'm a lurker here on these boards and reading the blogs and touching these forums a bit i don't feel like i'm out of the loop at all. some information just tends to get smashed together by misunderstandings.
EDIT* Jazz got the links up before i finished my post :P

Actually Jazz, I think you managed to pinpoint exactly what I wasn't able to find. As I said, I just don't have the time to go trawling through everything looking for specifics lately due to an incredibly busy schedule and working and being on the road a lot. I understand things are subject to change, and I understand that with Gencon and PAX things have been hectic as well, I'm just hoping that someone with more time (or better time management) can compile all of the information we have in one spot eventually.
Thanks for the responses everyone. I don't frequent the message boards as much these days but I'm still lurking in the shadows and eavesdropping when I have the time.

Yup. I imagine there's enough text between the GW blogs and the forums to fill several GMs manuals. Some of its contradictory. There's no index, and threads often contain several divergent sub-threads. It's getting to the point where finding Truths is getting difficult.
