Is there any way to make the point of origin not you?

Take the spell fog cloud instead?

Well yes, but I would really prefer to use a first level slot and I do not actually want the thicker fog.

cast it and then run?

Ah well, I guess that will have to be the plan. At least with a mount I can move before and after casting but there is that pesky concentration check.

As to your original question. None that I am aware of.

Adding a question to your question if I may.

Share Spells ability of a familiar states you "may cast a spell with a target of “You” on his familiar (as a touch spell) instead of on himself". Does that 'as a touch spell' open it up to being used with Reach if the target is your familiar? Of course this is likely moot as Obscuring Mist has no target line of "You".

And as an aside you can cast and then move and well as move then cast either order works on your turn. You don't absolutely require a mount to be able to move after casting. Sorry if you understood that already just wasn't clear to me from your response if you did.
