The Mythic adventures supplement made think of making a campaign where my players would acquire the infinity gems (of course inspiration from the infinity gauntlet held by Thanos).
But for those, who don't know much about them here's a quick summary and good coincidence that are there six of them, so work well with the six tiers:
Power Gem – Increased strength and durability, enhances virtually any known superhuman ability, energy manipulation.
Time Gem – Time travel; stop, slow down or speed up flow of time; accelerate or slow down aging; see into past/future.
Space Gem – Travel through space, mostly through teleportation. Able to interfere with the motion of other objects.
Soul Gem – Observe, attack or even steal a being's soul or spirit. Also used to revert individuals to their natural state.
Reality Gem – Alters all of reality; similar to the effects of a Cosmic Cube, but much, much higher.
Mind Gem – Near-limitless psionic/psychic abilities including empathy, telepathy and telekinesis.
I mostly wonder how to deal with them appropriately, I was thinking of either using them to unlock/give mythic powers to my players and npcs who will be in possession of them. Or go with them as Mythic artifacts, of course combining one or more gems would give significant powers to the users. The pcs and a rare few npcs (monsters or otherwise) would be mythic, most of the world isn't. So do you have any advice to give me in making them as mythic items/shards of power etc.
