Casting Liberating Command after Grappled, before constricted

Rules Questions

Since Lib. Command is cast as an immediate action (verbal only), can it allow an escape artist check, with +20 bonus, before getting any constriction damage?

Constrict wrote:
(Ex) A creature with this special attack can crush an opponent, dealing bludgeoning damage, when it makes a successful grapple check (in addition to any other effects caused by a successful check, including additional damage). The amount of damage is given in the creature's entry and is typically equal to the amount of damage caused by the creature's melee attack.

By RAW it doesn't look like it. The constrict damage is extra damage done on a successful grapple check. So there is no "between" being grappled and constricted. They are part of the same thing.

Are there any similar abilities that allow me to intercept an attack between the attack roll and the roll for damage? The Bodyguard feat, for example, lets me interpose an AoO between the time the attack is declared and when it's rolled, but not between the roll and the damage.

Absent anything else in the system that allows an action between the attack and the damage roll, I'd agree with Avianfoo.

The two above me are correct, but I let it work anyway when I GM.

Note that liberating command is an immediate action and the escape artist check is an immediate action, so it's not much use to cast on yourself.
(May not be relevant but people seem to miss this quite frequently)

That is a good point to remember, Pirate Rob. Thanks to all for the help.

Now you got me thinking...would there even be a way for a caster to use Lib. Comm. to help free himself? The only thing I can think of is for him to wait till it's his turn, cast the spell as a standard instead of an immediate action (is that allowed, and concentration check?) then use his immediate action to do the escape artist attempt. If not allowed, how about the other way around, immediate to cast and move or standard to escape artist?

Any ideas?
