Extra Hours Boon

The extra hours boon allows a GM day job roll.

If the GM is wearing a reroll shirt or has a portfolio out can the have a reroll?

I'm wondering more how a GM stays honest while using said boon. Do they need someone to witness all the natural 20s they roll on their day job?

The same way they stay honest behind the GM screen while they're running the game.

I intend on rolling in front of my players. Just like the players roll infront of GM.

I am just not sure about the reroll.

I say go for it. You have the reroll, you haven't used it, why not?

Personally, I don't think the Extra Hours boon is that beneficial, but I don't like Day Jobs anyway. I'm applying it to the same character that has a Treasure Map - otherwise, it's kinda pointless.

I just got this boon at PacifiCon, and I have a question. I have an unplayed character with 3 GM credits, but they were earned before PacifiCon. I have not filled out anything on the Chronicle sheets other than the date, event code, and signature. Whenever I decide to put him/her to paper, could I apply this boon then and get 3 Day Job rolls? One per Chronicle? Similar to how you can apply a Race Boon before having played the character?

I'd say no, since the dates are on the chronicles, so the Extra Hours boon clearly comes after the GM credits.

As for the original question, I believe the intent is that GMs don't get shirt rerolls, so I'd probably nix that, too.

Maybe I'm just overly strict. But those are the standards I intend to use on myself when I apply this to my bard with +16 perform at level 3, unless Mike Brock or someone else from Paizo contradicts me about this.

I generally err towards a more conservative interpretation until a ruling is made. I have no plans to play this character for some time, either, so I can afford to wait. Otherwise, yeah, I'll just start out my next credit baby with it.

That's not strictly true. The intent is for GMs not to be able to use their shirt reroll for a bad guy (although I've heard of GMs using the reroll to negate a critical hit that would have likely killed a PC), but they still have the reroll and are even allowed to "donate" it to one of the players at the table.

I tend to give mine to new players as a way to make them ask "Wow, how do I get a reroll?"

When you GM you don't just assume all die rolls come up as 20s?

Actually apparently you can't give it away or use it to negate crits on players. (I've long used it to negate crits in the 1-2 subtier, so I'm guilty of the latter, and I'm pretty sure I've given it away to PCs too on failed fort saves).

As a way of rewarding players who show their support for the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign by purchasing and wearing special shirts featuring campaign insignia, faction logos, or Pathfinder branding, a player wearing any of the shirts listed below during a Pathfinder Society event may reroll one d20 roll during the course of that scenario. This reroll must happen before the original result is determined and the player must use the reroll result, even if it is lower. Game Masters are also invited to wear Pathfinder Society Organized Play shirts, but gain no additional benefits other than supporting Pathfinder.
If a player is using a physical copy (not a PDF, printout, or photocopy) of the Pathfinder RPG Player Character Folio, he receives a free reroll. No player may receive more than one free reroll per session.

Even though it is a common practice (the giving it away thing), it is not a stated rule anywhere that this is allowed.

Booyah.

No he doesn't but I definitely don't mind if he allows one of his players to use his shirt as a goodwill gesture. I do that every game that I GM.

Although the using the reroll for a worse result on the bad guy is still a no go.
