I'll preface my question by saying this, I've only skimmed over the Mythic Adventures PDF as of now. That being said, I'm looking at the Mythic monsters, and I'm wondering how PC's are supposed to overcome DR X/Epic at low levels. Even the CR 4 Mythic Ogre has DR Epic. I'm sure I'm missing something, so can someone elaborate?
DR/Epic : A type of damage reduction, DR/epic can be overcome only by a weapon with an enhancement bonus of +6 or greater (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 299). Weapons with special abilities also count as epic for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction if the total bonus value of all of their abilities (including the enhancement bonus) is +6 or greater.

After browsing the path abilities, there seem to be quite a few for melee that give a useful effect along with bypassing all DR for that attack. Theoretically the PCs could be using those to get around the issue if Mythic enemies are uncommon.
There's also the most obvious way to overcome DR... hit above the magic number the enemy negates. How much DR does that Ogre have anyway?

DR/5 Epic. I wasn't even thinking of just surpassing the damage threshold... I'm an idiot. Now that I think of it, the DR/Epic is just a way to mitigate some of the damage done to the monster.

Talking about introduction, this would be the best way. Show them their are versions of monsters that are stronger than the average. That it has DR that can't be overcome at their current strength. If they want to ever do that they'll have to figure out the path to mythic and pursue it.
