Blink, Etheral Creatures, and your Armor

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

Let us say you purchaced a Ring of Blinking, which give you Blink on command.

One of the line in the spell Blink states:
"Physical attacks against you have a 50% miss chance, and the Blind-Fight feat doesn't help opponents, since you're ethereal and not merely invisible. If the attack is capable of striking ethereal creatures, the miss chance is only 20% (for concealment)."

Another States:
"Since you spend about half your time on the Ethereal Plane, you can see and even attack ethereal creatures. You interact with ethereal creatures roughly the same way you interact with material ones."

Now if you have a piece of armor, let us say a standard chainmail, because Etheral Creatures you interact roughly the same way as a Material Creatures, does this mean that a Shadow's Touch Attack would now be a normal attack on your AC (with the chainmail armor bonus), and as well has a miss chance to it?

I am really confused on the wording to Blink and if anyone can clarify, that would be great.

Shadows are incorporeal, not ethereal. I know those seem like they should be the same thing, but for some reason they're not. So the shadows have a 50% miss chance (while you're ethereal), and if they don't miss, they ignore your armor because they're making touch attacks.

You're welcome.
