Anti-paladin and ultimate mercy

Rules Questions

How does the anti-paladin work with the feat ultimate mercy? They channel negative energy so raising the dead seems inappropriate. Creating undead on the other hand would make tons of sense.

Are there any offical rules on this or should it be homebrewed like I posted here?

Scarab Sages

I see no reason why it shouldn't just work the same way. The target still has to be willing to be raised, so the anti will be raising bad guys.

Firstly, you could not use the feat as printed as you don't have the Mercy class feature needed as a pre-requisite. Therefore, homebrew is probably the best option if you want something thematically similar to the Ultimate Mercy feat.

This ability is modified by any feat, spell, or effect that specifically works with the lay on hands paladin class feature.

At 3rd level, and every three levels thereafter, a paladin can select one mercy. Each mercy adds an effect to the paladin's lay on hands ability.

Emphasis mine.

Barring an intervention from the Devs, per RAW it is legal for an antipaladin to take this feat, but there is no explanation for what it does.

My honest first thought was Slay Living, but I thought it was OP, then I remembered that it costs 10 uses of lay on hands.
