I have a creature with the following statistics:
HP: 172 (15d12+75); regeneration 10 (cold iron)
SR: 25 DR: 15/cold iron
I understand a +3 magic weapon will overcome this DR. Will this same weapon also stop the renegeration? Or must the weapon be cold iron to stop the reneration? I'm unable to find anything in the Pathfinder rulebook. If you have the answer, and know what page to look on... Thanks!
It wouldn't bypass the regeneration because it's very specific that the enhancement bonus is only used for the purpose of overcoming DR and DR only. Notice that +4 enhancement bonus, while overcoming Adamantine DR, does not allow you to bypass Hardness like real adamantine weapon.
Therefore, a +3 weapon will not be able to bypass regeneration (cold iron).
