I was considering multiclassing Barbarian/ninja. However, I'm curious if I could use Ninja abilities while Raging. Specifically can you use Ki to increase attacks? Or even better, can you actually use Ki powers-Vanishing Trick, etc?
ehh I would say probably not for most of them. The concept behind using ki is that you have to focus your ki to activate the ki powers, which would make it impossible to do during a rage.
While in rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.
However I might also say that some direct combat uses for ki might still be useable even in a rage. like the extra strike, or using a ki charge (make a thrown weapon explode in fire)...but something like vanishing trick would not be something you could do in a rage...though you might do it and go into rage while it's still in effect

I would think that the Moment of Clarity rage power would allow you to perform your ki actions during your rage, since it states you no longer have the same restrictions while raging.
I don't know much about the ninja, but if you need concentration during a fight and your anger has taken over, I would think a deep breath and a clear head would help.
My two copper on the situation.

Fluff-wise, mouth-foaming rage and zen-like concentration are about polar opposites. But what SinBlade06 said, Moment of Clarity to the rescue. Just a moment of 'oh wait, there is this neat trick I learned' to pull it off.
Of course, by sheer RAW, there is nothing that prevents a raging barbarian from using Ki powers. After all, fluff isn't RAW and irrelevant anyway. :p

What about Urban Barbarian/Ninja?
check out the urban Barbs alternate abilities when mixed with a ninja, plus the ability to boost other stats like dex and you've got a w-w-wow factor for a cool character.
Especially since urban barb defies the rules and fluff for the general conception of frothing at the mouth rage machine.
and for the record, "RAGE" doesn't HAVE to be blind, seeing red anger, it could be intense battle focus. a focus so exclusive, it precludes casting spells or skills that require similar concentration because all focus is on battle.
I've used a barbarian (armored hulk) for a knight character I once had.
Most players at the table never even knew he WAS a barbarian, until about 8th level when he started doing "recognizable" stuff, and players started leaning over to peek at my sheet, "dude when did you multi class?"
Multi class into what?
"Barbarian"
Ummm, I AM a barbarian, there is no multi class.
ahaha
