Druid Plant companion

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

Does the druid's plant companion get the plant trait? I didn't see it mentioned in apg but one f the pets is a treant and treants get the plant trait but wanted to check if plant companions get the same?

Treesinger? It states in the write up that the companion is from the 'plant type' but otherwise acts as a typical companion. It would get things under that listing in the bestiary unless the companion write up states otherwise.

I just pictured some poor plant focused Druid living a a big city with his plan companion being a house plant...he could carry it around in a baby carrier thing, the kind that strap on your front/back.

Silver Crusade

On the druid it mentions to look at the beastiary for attacks and qualities that the animals posses. So do the plants get plant traits because also on the druid class it mentions the animals getting animals traits.Does anyone know the ruling on this?

Plant Traits (Ex)
Plants are immune to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, patterns, and phantasms), paralysis, poison, polymorph, sleep, and stun.

Format: plant traits; Location: Immune

I was hoping to find an official ruling on this as well. well at least I can contribute to the discussion.

My take on it: vermin companions get vermin traits, plant companions should get plant traits. Plant traits are a bit powerful, but really so is having a spinosaurus. Plus, plants are vulnerable to a number of effects that animal/vermin companions wouldn't be (e.g. blight, horrid wilting, aura of decay, The Dumbshow of Gorroc).
