I just joined up during the con, played one game using a pregen, made a character and was involved in a TPK.. I am still trying to figure out how to update the information on my character.

Game was awesome, up to that point.. lol..

as to local table, its fairly hard, I live in Victoria, about an hour and a half away.. going to have to hit up my local shop to see if I can find a group for pathfinder here..

I feel your pain. Let us know if you need advice getting things going in your area. I'm assuming there's a shop in Victoria. Its a really great thing to watch a community you helped build grow.

The good news is that Houston has five cons throughout the year that run Pathfinder Society:

Space City Con Winter in January (at least, I'm assuming we'll do PFS there.)
OwlCon in February
MAG Con in April
Comicpalooza in May
Space City Con Summer in August

There are also online options for play available, which I'm sure you saw.

As to the different cons, will have to see about budget when it comes to going to them.
