Beast bonded and lack of Lagomorphs

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

The shapeshifting at level 8?
Say, my witch as a rabbit familiar?
I noted a complete lack of lagomorphs in any form.
help?

Grand Lodge

Rabbits, a type of Lagomorpha, are descendants of the Eurymylidae, a family of extinct simplicidentates.

Simplicidentata is a group of mammals that includes the rodents (order Rodentia) and their closest extinct relatives.

Work from there.

I love bunnies and hares ^^
As a GM I confronted the heroes once with an army of Goblins riding dire bunnies :)
What I usually do is take a rat (or dire rat or whatever rat type comes close to your intended rabbit) and remove the climbing/swimming ability.

For Hares:
Add high jumper (jumping height = 1/2 acrobatics check, always count as having running start)

For Rabbits:
Add a burrow speed of 10.

For both:
Zig Zag. Once during a charge or run action a lagomorph can make a single 90° turn.

This makes it rather unique without you having to change much.

Grand Lodge

The Rabbit is already statted here.

Adding the Giant template, is one option as well, but requires DM approval.

You should be well within your rights to choose any Simplicidentata, such as rodents, like the Dire Rat.
