Hi,
I'm looking to get back into playing Pathfinder Society to play with a friend of mine, after being away since 2010. It looks like a lot has changed - there's a few more factions than I remember. What else did I miss? Is there anything else I should know?
I would also like to play my old character, a level 4 cavalier, but I can't find all of his chronicle sheets. I'm missing 3 out of his 11 chronicles (including #1 and #2 sadly). Is there any way that I can retain some or all of his adventure history?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome back!
Hm, any chance you know/can find out who your GM was for the missing chronicles? Connecting with him/her and/or your local Venture Captain would be your best bet at getting that character back into the game.
As for what's changed, you're actually right on the brink of the beginning of Season 5: Monday will release the Guide to Organized Play version 5.0 (and the Guide finally has a Table of Contents!) so you're actually in a great position to jump back in!

Well, they added five more factions.
Two of which are being retired in two weeks.
Other than that, I'm sure there are any number of little things that have changed; I'd recommend giving the Guide to PFS Organized Play a quick perusal to find some of that.
As to your old chronicles, if the games were reported properly, you should be able to find records of them on this site; from the main Pathfinder Society page, there should be a "My Pathfinder Society" link at the top of the page, and you can find records of your sessions in there. It'll list who the GM was, so you might be able to get in contact with them, so that you can get new copies from them.
Welcome back!

I will definitely check back on Monday for the updated guide. I definitely like the idea of starting up with a new season.
I looked at My Pathfinder Society, and ... oh dear. There's one session up there, and it's not even one that I have a chronicle sheet for. Nor have I ever been to Utah, where that game was reported. :(
I only had one GM that I recall - we mostly played with the same group, and it looks like things were pretty relaxed on the reporting front. But hey, I have my PFS membership number now! I probably could contact my old GM; I don't even know what a Venture Captain is. Incidentally, when I played it was near Pittsburgh, PA - now I'm living near Philadelphia. Is there a list of Captains and contact info by area?
Thanks again for your help.

Big change starting last year is that scenarios are now being written with the assumption that there will be 6 PCs at the table, instead of the old assumption of only 4. That means adventures are a lot harder. Whether or not it's too hard is a matter of opinion, and has resulted in constant debates here on the forums.
As mentioned already, there were 5 new factions, but 2 of them are going away, so just ignore Shadow Lodge and Lantern Lodge when you read up on the factions.
Also, you can get both playing credit and GM credit for the same adventure now. I don't know when that was changed, but I remember hearing that it wasn't originally that way.
Anyway, go download the free Guide to Organized Play to learn all about it.

The Guide to Organized Play has a list of the Venture Captains.
There are 2 listed for PA

Pennsylvania—Stroudsburg Tom Carpenter (VL) vlttcarjr1@gmail.com

Yay! More Philly people!
So, we don't technically have a VC or VL here in Philly. In practice, the VL for Southern New jersey also covers the Philly Area (Brian Lefebvre). I can tell you that if you are living near Philly, the biggest PFS games around are in Philly in Redcaps Corner. The website is redcapscorner.com. On that site are links to the warhorn for signing up for games and the mailing list to receive updates and news about the game days.
