Stand Still against Prone Targets

Rules Questions

So I'm gonna guess this doesn't apply, but I wanted to make sure.

Stand Still says if an opponent provokes an attack of opportunity due to movement you can make a combat maneuver instead to stop their movement.

Prone condition says that someone who is prone can stand up as a move-equivalent action that provokes an attack of opportunity.

So is it possible to use Stand Still on a prone target that tries to stand up? I imagine this could be extremely obnoxious for a tripped target if true.

Thoughts?

Standing up isn't "movement". It's a move-equivalent action to stand up, which is why you can stand up and still take a five foot step. Movement is when you travel from one square to another.

The general concensus is: If you think something allows you to trip lock an opponent, it doesn't.

Also, standing up dosn't count as "movement" its a move equivalent action as noted. Standstill applies when creatures are moving from point A to point B and you want to make them stop.
