crafting with sleepless familiar as aid

Rules Questions

A wizard has an imp as familiar. The wizard craft while adventuring which gives 4 hour of crafting time. The familiar that does not sleep help him to gives a +2 bonus and work for 4hour + the night which is 12 hours.

Same thing out of adventure with the wizard working 8 hour and the imp 16 hours

How do you calculate the amount of work done ?

Well, I'm assuming your crafting mundane items, I don't know of a way for an imp to get craft magical feats...

But the amount of work would be 4 hours of master and imp, then 8 hours of just imp. The 4 hours from the wizard is cut in half, because it's not consecutive, and then add the 8 hours from the imp. 10 hours 1.25 days worth of work.

Out of adventure it would be 24 hours worth of work done, or 3 days worth.

I can't think of it now, but there might be a rule somewhere about how long a creature can work on one piece a day... But that might just be for magical items.

Sounds like the imp is putting in the lion's share of the crafting. Perhaps it should be the wizard giving the imp +2 to the imp's crafting roll.
