Teleport in combat and Wind Stance Feat

Advice

Grand Lodge

Hey everyone. Still pretty new to playing Pathfinder and wanted to make sure I understood a few rules correctly.

1) Can the spell teleport be used as a "primary method" of movement for a creature in combat? If so, casting the spell teleport is a standard action correct?

2) The feat "Wind Stance" states that when you "move" more than 5 feet you gain a 20% concealment bonus against all ranged attacks for one round.

Does the teleportation count as movement for said creature? Assuming he moved more than 5 feet when using said spell? Of course if teleport can not be used as an alternative to "normal movement" in combat then this question is therefore moot and just let me know.

There is no "primary method" of movement defined anywhere in Pathfinder. You have base speeds for your character, which for most PC races is either 20ft or 30ft movement on land only. Secondly, no teleport most defintely wouldn't be a "primary method" of movement since a creature would be limited to the number of times it can cast the spell per day, and I'm going to assume unless a creature has teleport at will then it's not going to utilize it as its primary means of movement. Casting the teleport spell, or using teleport as a SLA or anything similar is almost always going to be a standard action. Whatever the ability is it would probably mention if it wasn't a standard action.

Teleport would not count for Wind Stance because it's when you move. Teleportation is not actually movement, its teleportation.

The flavor text, though not always great to rely on, does help some in this case.

Quote:

Wind Stance (Combat)

Your erratic movements make it difficult for enemies to pinpoint your location.

Prerequisites: Dex 15, Dodge, base attack bonus +6.

Benefit: If you move more than 5 feet this turn, you gain 20% concealment for 1 round against ranged attacks.

You're movements aren't erratic if you teleport. You just disappear from one spot and reappear in another. Nothing particularly erratic about it. That being said, you can also look at the text of the spell and understand the implication is that when you move more than 5ft using the move action you gain 20% concealment against ranged weapons.
