Half-orc with heart of the wilderness?

Heart of the wilderness is a human alternate racial trait that replaces skilled.
Half-orcs count as humans and can get the skilled alternate racial trait. Can they trade the skilled trait for heart of the wilderness?
Like duergar may take dwarf alternate racial traits.

As to the OP, if you took the Adopted feat you could count as a human for the purposes of traits, feats, spells, and whatnot in order to obtain the racial abilities you're looking for, though you'd have to ask a GM if they'd allow you to take the Adopted feat to gain another race's traits through that feat. Then again, I haven't used the Adopted feat in so long that I'm not sure if it still works as it was originally written.

There is no Adopted feat.

There is an Adopted trait, which allows you to get one Race Trait, which is a type of trait, and not a Racial trait, which is something entirely different.

I know. But the fact that they can get an alternate racial trait that is identical to the human one both in name and effect left me wondering.

Many races have similarly named racial traits. None of them are interchangeable.

Not allowed by RAW. The duergar are allowed to take certain dwarf alternate traits, but that's a specific explicit exception to the general rule.

However, I can see a GM allowing it anyway. Heart of the Wilderness is supposed to be of equal value to skilled, so it's not overpowered, and it's thematic for a half-orc. (Half-elves might similarly be allowed to trade Elven Immunities for Dreamspeaker or Elemental Resistance by a lenient GM.)
