I've heard that you can be a fighter and wield a shield in each arm and use the shields as weapons with like shield bash. While the shields are on each arm and you have improved shield bash do you get the shield bonus to your armor class from both or from just one of the shields, because I heard someone talking about a weapon that can be used in one hand and it acts like a shield also. Does anyone know this type of fighter who can tell me more about this combo, because it sounds wierd but sounds like a heavy ac fighter none the less?

The best reason for this that I can see would be the ability to add more defensive enhancements to your character. I don't think, *THINK* mind you, the enhancement bonuses on the two shields would stack; ie, a +5 heavy steel shield on the right arm and a +5 heavy steel shield on the left arm wouldn't allow you to add +12 to your AC, you'd only get +7 for one of the shields. But, you could have a +5 HSS with +5 worth of enhancements on one hand and a +1 HSS with +9 worth of enhancements on the other.

And one of those should really be a heavy bashing spiked shield for 2d6 bash-damage...

I don't think the extra enhancements would work. My reasoning being the piecemeal armor alternate rules from UC, where individual pieces can have their own enhancements, but if you wear +4 leg-piece with a mundane body-piece, then you don't get the magical benefits of the leg-piece, something similar might go with wielding two shields. That being said, I love the idea of dual shield wielders, and I would allow multiple shields granting enhancements... Look out for those shield wielding Kali-build eidolons - 10 magical shields = one-creature shield wall!
