The assumptions behind the two settings are so incompatible that the idea of a Blue Rose/Conan mashup makes me take San Damage contemplating it - because you would have to use non-Euclid geometry to get them to fit together.
Really? A grim and gritty world about bloody war, harsh slavery, mercenaries, brutal monsters, and trudging through endless wastes... why would there be a problem with sensitive and romantic characters with a positive outlook on others and the world?

I was thinking settings more than anything. Conan in a country where the leader is chosen by a telepathic stag, freedoms of belief, open to alternate sexuality (and happy about it), and equality of the sexes - His approach and style would get him tossed out of the country.
