Divine bond

Rules Questions

I was wondering if I have a +2 greatsword and then use my divine bond and get the +1 from it could I for instance use +2 for for Flaming Burst? or would I be forced to only be able to use the Divine Bonds +1 and get a +1 property?

All Magic Weapons require a +1 Enhancement in order for special abilities to be acquired.

Since the Greatsword is already a +2, you can get Flaming Burst on it.

So I'm not forced to only use the Divine Bond bonus? and leave the +2 that was on the sword already

Liberty's Edge

You can't change what is already set on your magic weapon. That is set in stone, so to speak.

oh okay gotcha so sword would remain a +2 only and the extra +1 from divine bond would be the only thing I could tweak. as in add a property? sorry for the million questions guys, very helpful stuff

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, the only flexibility you have is in the bonus that comes from your divine bond. And as to the questions, no worried man.
