Also, on mobile Safari (iphone or ipad) when opening a thread in a background tab by clicking on the "(x new)" link, the background tab will only load at the top of the page and not at the point of the next new post.

I should clarify (I was trying to be concise but on rereading I'm not sure I was clear). By "opening in a background tab" what I mean is to open it in a new tab, then click back to the original tab to continue reading before the new tab is loaded. If you do this, the new tab sits at the top of the page instead of going to the last read post. It makes it hard to follow conversations when you are loading multiple threads.

That last thing sounds like normal behavior for when you switch away from a page before the anchor has loaded. Pretty sure there's nothing we can do about that....
Interestingly enough, using Firefox on my IMac (OS 10.8.4) in the same way loads properly at the desired post. Maybe it's a mobile Safari thing?

I retract that statement just wrote something with the bigger tags and it came up smaller than normal. Also"smaller" text is nearly impossible to read its so small barely bigger than punctuation marks.

I STILL get certain sections of the PRD (the main Magic Items page for example) that load with no background and nothing but a long, old-school list of blue hypertext links of magic items. I mentioned this a number of months ago as well :(
Does anyone else get this on their iPhone?
Same here on iOS v6.1.3
