I'm looking to build a Dwarf Ranger for PFS play. I'll be starting at 2nd level (Re-Build).
What i would like some advice on would be how to best go about getting Disable Device and Knowledge: Local while still keeping the main Ranger class intact?
I envision this as a Switch-hitter type build who sort of bridged the gap between some of the "missing" roles. I'm not to worried about losing some of the higher tier Ranger goodies and was thinking about MCing into cleric for some quick 1st level goodies(extra speed and some healing/orisons).
I almost always table with a Bard and Sorcerer among some randoms.
Thanks to all for the advice.

I think i'll go with traits/feats to get back Knowledge Nature and Handle Animal as i'll still need to cover the survival/wilderness aspect of the party.
I was also thinking of the feat Cosmopolitian to pick up Dis. Device/Know: Local plus some extra languages but being a dwarf puts me one feat behind my initial thought of going human.
I'm trying to make a very well rounded Pathfinder. Something that fits the ideals of the Grand Lodge faction or Osirion best. A Knowledge/Loreseeker, dungeon/wilderness survivalist and frontline melee specialist with a ranged back-up.
It's a toss up right now between a Dwarf (or Human) Grand Lodger or a Human (or Dwarf) Osirion. Just trying to find the right Class/Archetype/Race combo. Trying to avoid the Full Casting classes as i prefer the Martial Classes and i'm trying to break from my Paladin.

If you aren't against a spot of multiclassing, a single level of Sorcerer with the Seeker archetype will give you Disable Device and the ability to disarm magical traps. The Empyreal bloodline will allow you to use Wisdom instead of Charisma for all your sorcerer stuff.
I don't mind the multiclass but it would still have to fit some of my idea of a back story, which isn't fully formed but i don't really think Sorcerer fits the bill. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You can also put ranks into those skills without having them as class skills. What you'll probably want along with Disable Device is Trapfinding (this is the class feature that lets you disable magical traps). Urban Ranger gives you this.
If you want to multiclass, consider taking your first level as Barbarian to get the hit points and Knowledge (nature), then your second level as Urban Ranger for the rest of it. Barbarian also gives you full BAB and additional movement (depending on the armor you wear), and there are so many different ways to interpret Rage, you could probably find one that fits your back story.

Urban gives you the two skills you want, then I am sure you can find traits to give back one or both survival and knowledge (nature). Also, since the heal spell is on your list, you can use the wands with out the dip into cleric. But I can see the befit of being able to cast the spell over just wands.
