So, I'm gonna be honest, I was kinda lazy and didn't read through everything. Is there still room and will this be pbp or roll20?

Cause I would like prefer a live game.

This will be a live game on Roll20.

I would like to pick a trait from the 101 Pirate and Privateer traits book.

If you like the looks of the book let me know and I will pick a trait and post the details here for your approval.

Sure no problem, which trait.

I like the look of this one. I feel it allows her to serve on ships and such while still retaining her form in water. If this is not an option see the one further below.

You are one of the rare types of merfolk who can alter their form, from having a fishlike lower body to having actual legs. Once per day you can change your form from a merfolk to a bipedal human form, losing your swim speed and gaining a base land speed of 30 ft. You gain the amphibious special quality. Changing form takes 1 full round during which time you are flat-footed. You automatically revert back if you are immersed in water. Only a merfolk character can choose this trait.

Second choice for a trait:

You discovered a fountain of youth long ago but the memory of its location has been stolen from you. You again a +2 inherent bonus on saves against aging effects. In addition, choose an age one category less than your actual age.

Here is Sabinae, a merfolk ranger. Once a decision is made on which trait you would like me to use I will switch it to that. Kobold press was kind enough to include Hero Lab files for me to use.

I would prefer the second one because the merfolk are very powerful and the low land speed is there only disadvantage and I would like to keep it as such.

Sczarni

I'm in the same boat as a recent poster, I'm somewhat interested but I only read the first 30 or so posts. Is there still room?

The trait has been altered.

Artaxe, just to let you know, the spell-less ranger has a class bonus you should be aware of.

(Ex): When in a favored terrain, your base speed increases by +10 ft. at 5th level. At 12th level, this bonus increases to +20 ft. These bonuses apply only when you wear medium, light, or no armor.

If I read this correctly, this means that she will have a 60' speed in the water.

If you are in favor of it, I would like this to apply only to her swim speed.

Artaxe, what would be a good choice for an animal companion? I just realize that I had not chosen one yet.

Yes, still room, probably for only one or 2 people though. As for when we start, i talked to some people and I decided next frdiay is a better option for when to start.

Are we looking to start this Friday? I am all set over here. I would need the link for the Roll20 game please.

Here is the link to my profile there.

ima have to drop out i just got some stuff do do on fridays

I will be starting this friday if we end up having enough. Will everyone who is wishing to participate please post your characters down below so i may see what we have thus far.

This is Sabinae.

This is her animal companion, Red, a Burmese python.

I'm still interested, but tomorrow will be tough. I apologize for not being on this week, my sister's been in the hospital and I've been on babysitting detail on top of work, so haven't had much free time.

It's perfectly understandable, as I haven't been on this week almost at all. Even so I work today so I'll be tired during game. I do hope you sister gets better.

I'm sorry to you all, but it looks like I'll just have 2 players starting, so I'm not sure if I should run it tonight, I know I have a total of 4 players, two who I've talked to not here. I'm sorry to postpone it for another week, but I believe it would be for the best. As only Sabinae (grand moff vixen)and roseangle would be here for tonight. Also, not everyone has accepted the invite to the game on roll20.

To matt and kelsey, I doubt there will be game unless you to and Grand Moff Vixen post in the forums and follow the link and post a reply.

Tonight is out for me. I have worked a lot of hours and I am exhausted. Maybe next week.

Also, I cannot access that link.

She's doing fine, got home yesterday afternoon. Things should settle down next week. I'm off and she should be back to normal in a few days. Just got a little hectic this week.

So, next friday then is when it will start, I'll see what I can do about adding you to the game, but I don't know how to.

If possible may we delay by another week? Work is very busy for me right now. We have someone new coming on-board next Monday and once they are up to speed I will have additional time for this.
