Sabinae ran through the trinkets she found on her most recent dive. So many things to catalog and learn about. The thought of exploring ancient cities was enough to send her mind back back to when she was creeping about some old ruins looking for whatever was there.
She rummaged through a bag of trinkets and odds and ends. "These will be a good trade to a merchant for items they pretend are worth more than they are." She smiles.
As far back as she could remember she always was exploring the reefs around where she lived just to see what was out there. There was something about the unknown that seemed to call out to her. At times it felt like it was tangible to the point that she could almost feel it.
When she was old enough she left home and began traveling. So many places to go and so many people to see. Sometimes she would travel to remote areas just to see what was there. It was exhilirating to say the least. At length, she took to traveling with any captain willing to take her where she wanted to go. Most were fascinated by her exotic beauty that she was allowed passage.
One voyage found her in chains on a merchant ship that she had arranged passage on. The captain double crossed her made a servant out of her. She remained this way for the better part of a year before he found himself on the end of a deal that went sour. Apparently the captain tried to take more than his cut of treasure in a deal he made with a pirate. In the ensuing battle she escaped and joined the pirate crew as they sailed in search of the good life. It was there that she met a Strix named Kiana. She seemed to be searching for a person or group of people that had done something to her.
As with all things, her most recent voyage ended when a military patrol caught up with them. She found herself in the shanty town of Broken Keel looking for work. She didn't know much about sailing, but she was good at finding things both above and under the waves. "Time to see what employment can be had." she thought as she made her way into the small town.
