So the Hybridization Funnel says that, "...the mixture has the effects of both component substances and creatures are affected as if hit by both."
Does this mean that alchemists get to apply their intelligence modifier to damage twice? My friend was saying that this seems kinda broken, but it is a DC 25 craft alchemy check, takes 10 minutes to make one mixture, and only lasts for 24 hours, so I don't think it would be that overpowered if it allows for double int damage. What are your guys thoughts?

When this was asked a week ago there were two ways of looking at it.
1. The mixture is a single attack that does two types of damage simultaneously and the INT bonus applies once after the two types of damage are summed.
2. The mixture makes two separate attacks doing different types of damage and the INT bonus applies to each damage effect separately.
I think 1. is more likely RAI, but either is a valid reading of RAW and neither reading is going to unbalance the game.

In my opinion RAI is certainly that the Int bonus is only applied once.
If you have an issue with the preparation time, or possibly even the time before it goes inert, I recommend you ask the GM to work something out in changing them (possibly at the cost of a more expensive funnel price).
Realize that it's giving the bonus of extra damage already. Also realize that It'd be obligated to be doing double the splash damage, which could be stronger than a bomb's splash (at nearly any level).
I'd say you're asking for too much considering the item is a freaking 200 g.

if the damage is only assessed once, what type of damage is it?
For example, mixing Acid flask and Holy water results in a flask that would do 1d6 fire, and 2d4 holy water damage (Positive Energy damage?) to a demon... if the "bonus damage" is fire, it is not likely to get thru DR. If it is added to the Holy Water damage it is. So, do you split the bonus 50-50? Half is Acid damage, half Holy Water damage? what if the bonus is an odd number? which type gets the extra point.
It get's even stranger if the mix was Alchemist Fire and Acid, as the demon has DR 10 for both, which means if you split the bonus damage, it is possible that the creature would take NO damage, when if it had been hit by only one damage type it would take some. (A bonus of +6 say, and roll a 6 both on the Fire and Acid, results in 9 points of fire and 9 points of Acid when you split it, where it would be 12 points of either one if it had been just a normal Acid flask or normal Alchemist Fire.)

This. Because there is a very clear proviso in the text for the Hybridization Funnel that states "Mixing a substance with a similar or identical substance (such as alchemist's fire with alchemist's fire) has no effect" means you generally can't use two items of the same energy type (there is some argument for and against mixing Acid and Alkili Flasks, YMMV). Every GM I've encountered who sits and actually reads over that item has allowed me to apply my Alchemist's INT mod twice.

I'm actually finding it to be able 50/50 ... but my sample size is only about 6 judges so far.
