Staff magus questions

Advice

I'm thinking of making a staff magus/hexcrafter. I was wondering if the sansetskun (SP?)(UC) was considered a staff weapon for the Staff Master ability that is given. And, if so, if it would be better to go one level of fighter to get the martial weapon ability/bonus feat (I'm thinking better).

Front line fighter in a way.

And also what good traits for this. I only have the CRB/UC/UM/APG so I can't use any other races or traits. I know tiefling prehensile tail and holding a wand would be nice.

Mainly curious about the three piece staff. Have a general idea, but that will actually make me wnat to make it or not.

also, it doesn't say in the descriptions any, but what special material can I make it out of. PFS compatible

The Three Section Staff is not a quarterstaff.

The Staff Magus is built specifically around the quarterstaff mastery feat. The Sansetskun won't work for this.

For some reason I was just seeing staff master....

But thanks

You can use the item as a Magus. but since it's two handed you won't get spell combat or spellstrike with it. Nor would you get the special tricks that you'd do as a staff magus.

Ya, that was why I was looking at staff magus, Its a moot point now, just trying to figure out my next character, and it seemed interesting in my mind watching somebody unrealistically swinging a tristaff around with one hand :)
