Trapfinding Stacking?

For a multiclass character who gets the Trapfinding ability from two different classes, how do the bonuses stack? Do you add the bonuses from each class separately, or combine the levels in each class? For example, an urban ranger/rogue:

L3 Urban ranger: Gets Trapfinding, bonus +1.
L3 Rogue: Has Trapfinding, bonus +1.

L3 Urban ranger/L3 Rogue: Bonus +2 (adding bonuses separately) or bonus +3 (6 total levels in classes with Trapfinding)?

I don't really know how it works with other archetypes (like urban ranger, seeker, trapper, archeologist, etc), since none of the descriptions in those archetypes states that it stacks with the rogue trapfinding ability.

However, for the prestige classes and such that do get trapfinding, it uses the second formula, IE:

If I'm Rogue 5/Aspis Agent 3, I'd have trapfinding as an 8th level rogue, so +4; I wouldn't have +2 from Rogue and then +1 from Aspis Agent.

Hope it helps a little bit.

+2 Each class only helps that class

I would handle it the same way as BAB and save bonuses.

Makes sense; thanks much.
