WoC Premium 3.5 Spell Compendium vs Original Spell Compendium

I recently bought the Premium 3.5 Spell Compendium from this very site because it seemed like a great resource for my PC's. One of my friends I told about this book told me there was a 3.5 Spell compendium that came out a long time ago for 3.5 that was almost TWICE as long.

I found it online on e-bay for like 20 bucks... but is it worth it? Has anyone here ever own one or the other, or I guess preferably both? Maybe just knows about them?

Thanks so much in advance!

I own the original, but I do not own the re-print. However, from the reviews that I've read, they are both 285 pages, and contain the same interior art. In effect, they are the same. With the exception that the new re-print contains the updated errata that came out after the original was released back in 2005...

Yeah, I have both, though have not read them cover to cover skimming through they look to be the exact same content other than errata in the Premium edition (some of which I did check was incorporated based on the Errata PFFs from WotC).

So if you have the Premium Spell Compendium don't get the old version.

Admittedly for Pathfinder, not 3.5, but if you are looking for a massive tome with hundreds of spells, you might also be interested in this:

Well thank you DigitalElf AND DigitalMage (new naming trend I'm missing here?) you saved me $25. And thank you Marc, I'll check it out.

Or you know 1001 Spells for Pathfinder :)

No problem, and no not a new naming trend as far as I go, I have been using the name DigitalMage in the internet for almost 20 years now :)

You're quite welcome...

And like DigitalMage, I too have been using my name online for nearly 20 years.

Clearly DE and DM started this naming trend.
