Anyone else playing this? Completed the first two chapter's this evening and wow! Very cool game and paced almost exactly like the show. Tense also. Now I have a whole new perspective for what Rick goes through dealing with the group.

It's not worth buying as from what I've read it's completed in about 10 hours.

Thank you Redbox!

Very good game. And well worth the money to own.

Why is it worth owning? Re-play value?

Well, supposedly your decisions matter. A lot. So I suspect it has some re-play value. Also, it's pretty cheap and when I got it during a Steam sale it was so cheap I felt a little guilty about it. :)

Sovereign Court

Why is an awesome book worth owning? Because it's awwsome and can be read more then once.

This game is the feel train hammer. I cried. A lot.

EDIT: 11 hours well spent. Thank you steam gift card and steam sales! I'm really cheap though. It's the only way I can buy games. I'm actually losing weight because food cost money.

Despite Telltale Games best attempts, it's a good game (but I'm bitter - I bought the Season pass on the PS3, and live in Europe, so I got spoiled at each release because they did it late for European PSD3 users) but when they say your choices matter, it's a crock. Your choices have a minimal impact on the story.

In fact...:
You have no control over the ending. The same characters will be alive, and the same will be dead, regardless of what you choose. The only variation is in how and where they die. The game does constant resets to bring you back to the status quo, killing off a character you chose to save for example, and it's very frustrating.

It's a good game and a good, well written and voiced story, but Telltale's terrible customer support put me off any more of there products, honestly.

Shhhhhh!

Everything he says is lies!

But yeah the endings won't change, but the the path to get there is heavily influenced by the player.

Well, your choices do have some impact. It's just not as big an impact as it should be. It really does do reset events, wiping out the impact of your choices and continuing with the story. Which gets frustrating after the first couple.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Decided to keep the game (playing on xbox360) just because it is a very cool game. I've never been so invested in a game's characters before.
Just finished Episode 3 last night. Some tough decisions!
