Ok so the Barbarian rage skill says this:
While in rage, a barbarian gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the barbarian 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points
It says per Hit dice, now if you multiclass does this count only barbarian class levels? or all levels?
Example: Bard 3/Barbarian 1 uses rage does he get
a) +8 hp in rage
b) +2 hp in rage

All levels. This is a reminder of how con bonuses work. You can find the full text in the glossary of the CRB.
"Constitution: Temporary increases to your Constitution score give you a bonus on your Fortitude saving throws. In addition, multiply your total Hit Dice by this bonus and add that amount to your current and total hit points. When the bonus ends, remove this total from your current and total hit points."
The rage text is just providing a reminder that the increase to Con does provide bonus hit points, as all con increases do.

The answer is A.
He's still a barbarian even if he multi-classes as long as he doesn't become an ex member of the class (i.e. becomes lawful). He continues to be able to use rage and can use the rage power(s) he has.
The rage hit points will continue to scale with him all the way to level 20 or 20 hit dice.
They are extra hit points that he has until he ends his rage, they are temporary only insomuch as that they last as long as the rage keeps going. Something you might want to look into if you plan on raging is Raging Vitality (the tax), which allows you to continue to rage even if unconscious so that you don't hit 0hps, go unconscious, and then die due to going into the negative when you lose your raging hit points.
