Alright, this has to do with the diabolist in my Savage Tide game. He wants to make sure that in the campaign he'll have time for researching at least one or two true names, so he can use the capstone of his prestige class. I do not know if there is enough time for him to research some true names (it takes at least one month in a library), and I was curious if there were any other ways you guys could think to take it taken care of? Back in 3.5 wizards could do stuff like go to other planes where time passes more slowly or not at all in relation to the prime, and that would have made it possible to do the research. I'm not sure in pathfinder, any advice?

I believe you can create a demi-plane where time passes either much faster in comparison to the material plane or infinitely fast so that you return the moment you left. Could help.

That's exactly what I was looking for, Thanks!

Just make sure if you are going to let him make use of fast time like that to make sure you accommodate the fact that he is going to wind up aging a good deal faster than normal.

It's also strongly recommended that you don't allow the PC to obtain immortality to make light of the consequences.

well, he is an elf, so the aging is not a big deal. Also, the immortality is more of an eventual character goal. What i mean is this character, I could see him becoming undead or something like that to postpone his damnation.

Also assuming he's a wizard as you kind of imply, there is the True Name Arcane Discovery in Ultimate Magic.

Which only gets you one name and seems to act very differently then getting true names from study.
