How is that sentence completed when subscription emails are generated?
It seems to me you thank me for supporting a random product line each month and I wondered how the selection is made. Any answer for the absurdly curious?

Short answer: It's essentially random.
Longer answer: It's not actually random, but the net result is unpredictable enough that we can call it "essentially random" and not be shading the truth by very much at all.
Supplementary answer: Reworking those emails is creeping up the todo list very slowly.
