Tips for running a 1-player campaign?

So I'm thinking of doing a 1-person Gestalt-type campaign where my player is a Gestalt Character who may or may not use hirelings and such.

Any tips for this? I'm doing it through text since I think that's the ideal medium for this kind of campaign.

Any tips for doing a 1 player, 1 GM sort of campaign in Pathfinder?

Thanks.

Sovereign Court

It's not going to be easy. Awesome chance for amazing narrative, but his companion NPCs should be deep and well thought out characters with personalities.
The medium is ideal for this, although i was in a fair share 1 on 1 campaigns too.

I tried the "Solo Heroes" rules last night in a one-on-one. It can be easily tweaked for PF:

I have done 1 player situations in the past. I typically let them run their PC as the main character, and then they have other NPCs that they control in combat. This way they are driving the story, but have what they need so I do not have to recreate an entire campaign for them.

My experience with a solo campaign using Adventure Path material (Council of Thieves).
