I'm playing an archery ranger in PFS (level 2) and looking ahead to future feat selection. I currently have Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot, and Rapid Shot.
My first question: at level 6 I plan to take Manyshot. I remember reading on one of the board that this feat can "stack" with Rapid Shot. If I understand correctly this would allow me to shoot three arrows per round (at -2 to hit). Is this true? Also, can Manyshot be used without Rapid Shot to fire twice without the -2 penalty? By level 6, I imagine the penalty will have a very minor effect, but sometimes against a really tough foe even a 10% better chance to hit can make big difference.
Second: Does choosing the archery track prevent you from taking Two-Weapon Fighting? The way I see it, I could have taken this feat at first level, before "offically" deciding to go with archery. I wouldn't want the whole two-weapon feat tree, but maybe the option to melee with two weapons. I could of course melee pretty well with a single two-handed weapon, so I'm just not sure.
Thanks!

One: Manyshot doesn't let you attack an extra time. You fire an extra arrow with your FIRST shot of a full-round attack. Think Legolas, you cocked two arrows on the string of the bow that first (and only the first) shot. So they stack in the sense that regardless of rapid shot, you get an extra arrow (1d8+X for longlbow) if that first attack hits. Either both arrows hit, or neither.
Two: You can take Two-Weapon Fighting as normal, just not with your Ranger bonus feats. But you could take it with your regular feats you get at odd levels.
I would not recommend it though! both TWF and archery are a lot of feats! Look into Deadly Aim next until you get manyshot.
Extra note: your questions are not pfs related, so I'd suggest checking in at the Rules Forum for general questions about how feats work, etc... for the next time.
