I actually have a multi-class build that you'd like, I'm sure, but I might not use in PFS because it doesn't come into major usefulness until very late game, but, I was going to do a magus/cleric/mystic theurge.
I'm working on bard/cleric/mystic theurge! :)
(...only 6 more levels to go before it all comes together...)

If you play the first three scenarios as a barbarian and then retrain into your real class, that shows a profound lack of confidence in your own ability to survive tier 1-2 play.
If you are so immensely anxious about your ability to survive when fighting such frightening beasts such as dire rats, goblins or skeletons, then sure, go for it.
If I said you couldn't I'd clearly be acting as the fun police ;)

Mystic Theurge is one of the older Prestige Classes that I can think of. With all the new options for divine and arcane spellcasters both, though, there are a lot more alternatives available. Unfortunately, a lot of the other classes have features/abilities that are hampered by multi-classing. But Mystic Theurge, if you want just a pure casting nightmare? Gooood times.
If you really wanted to get nasty, try and take two classes that are both cha based, instead of cha/wis, or int/wis. Though the bard/cleric makes a nice combo for a channel centric build.

As the originator of the "Ledford's Bane" build, my main intention of the character set was off the curiosity of how much health can I cram into a level 1 character through the new Feat that was released during the time, Tribal Scars. My friend and I bounced ideas back and forth from each other and was dead set to create a character with this build, no changing any specifics when entering Level 2. We named him KonNon the Governator.
It was a quirky idea that we had and we wanted to run with it. However, if people wanted to have that 27 Hitpoint Barbarian, you can. Just remember that Color Spray will be used. And with the frustration of 27 Hitpoints, your GM might coup de grace just to say "nyaaa".
And for those who wonder what my build would be after Level 1, it is a pony. It has one trick: Hitpoints:
Level 2 (Invulnerable Rager 2) - Rage Power - Lesser Celestial Totem
HP 27 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 5 CON = 40 HP at level 2
Level 3 - Dip into Unbreakable Fighter. Hear me out here. Unbreakable Fighter gains Endurance and Diehard for free. Level 3 Base feat will be Fast Healer. So when he drinks that Potion of Infernal Healing, he gets basically Fast Healing freaking 3, 4 if he Rages, 5 if he drinks a potion of Bear's Endurance. And if this does not work, the heal from your casters will still trigger the healing effect, as well as from the Lesser Celestial Totem.
HP 40 + 6 (Level) + 5 CON = 51 HP at level 3
Level 4 - +1 to CON
Head back to Barbarian, gain endure elements (Cold) and Elemental Resist (Fire) as a class feature
HP 51 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 5 CON + 1 (Toughness) = 65 HP at level 4
Level 5 - Rage Power - Renewed Vigor
Base Feat 5 - Stalwart - Fight Defensively with Acrobatics at least Rank 3 to lose the 3 AC (Dodge), but gain DR 3/- (+ DR 2/- from Invulnerable Rager) = DR 5/-
HP 64 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 5 CON + 1 (Toughness) = 79 HP at level 5
Level 6
HP 79 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 5 CON + 1 (Toughness) = 93 HP at level 6
Level 7 - Rage Power - Guarded Life
Base Feat - Extra Rage Power - Regenerative Vigor
HP 93 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 5 CON + 1 (Toughness) = 107 HP at level 7
Level 8 - +1 to CON
HP 107 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 14 CON (Retroactive) + 1 (Toughness) = 130 HP at level 8
Level 9 - Rage Power - Increased Damage Reduction
Base Feat - Extra Rage Power - Increased Damage Reduction
HP 130 + 7 (Level) + 1 Favored + 6 CON + 1 (Toughness) = 145 HP at level 9
Keep pushing the Barbarian until you reach like level 9, then stack the Barbarian DR rage power.
At level 9, you got like about 145 HP with DR 9/- (Stalwart Fighting Defensively +3, Invulnerable Rager +4, Increased Damage Reduction x2 +2). This does not include a CON Belt.
He has Heart of the Wilderness, which gives a +5 racial bonus on CON checks to stabilize when dying and add 1/2 CL to their CON score when determining the negative hit point total necessary to kill them. This replaces Skilled race trait.
Purchaces include a Dawnflower Sash Head Item, Aegis of Recovery Neck Item, Shawl of Life-Keeping Shoulder Item, and lots and lots of Bones of Founder Raccona.
And he is a random drunk.
And an avid Pesh user.

I thought that if you GM'd a chronicle that you had to apply that XP and chronicle sheet to an appropriately leveled character?
Are you saying that if I GM'd 12 Tier 1-2 chronicles for people that I could have a level 5 character, out of the box?
You do have to apply the GM chronicle to an appropriately leveled PC. As I said, I keep running First Steps, which is level 1 only, but infinitely replayabble, both as a player and GM. This helps our local group accommodate the walk in newbies on nights when we don't have enough GMs that night, and I spread out the GM credits to a wide variety of PCs so I can keep skipping level 1. This is why I have 13 PFS characters, and all of them are at least level 2. In fact, half of them are exactly level 2 and have only been played once. Although, I think there's only one that I didn't play a single time when he was level 1, getting his first 3 XP entirely from GM credits.
As for completely skipping whole levels, I once GMed at a convention for a Venture Lieutenant who pulled out a level 6 wizard that he'd never played before. He got to level 6 entirely on GM credits. Obviously, he wasn't just GMing First Steps for that one.

I abuse rules. Maybe I have some anti-social behavior disorder, but when I read rules(any rules) I find ways to use them to my best advantage.
This rule is no different. Now I do not build powered levels 1 so I can make the level 2 I want, because I like developing the personality of my charatcer from level 1.
My reach fighter with a dip in cleric. I started as cleric and when I hit level 2 rebuilt him as fighter first for that extra HP.
My new character. I started as a high cha Sorcerer to do a powerfull burning hands. Then at level 2 started him as a high int wiz. Pretty much the same concept but I wanted to be powerful at that level.
Now many people will stupid bad fun me. But I do not care about them. I enjoy the game how I enjoy the game. Attacking or insulting me just shows their immaturity and/or ignorance. Because I did not make the rule. I am following the rule as it is written. The attacks on the people that do what I do just creates an anomosity. Fix the rule do not critiz the people following those rules.
If anything attack the people that made the rule in a manner you do not agree with.
