Due to me accidentally derailing the additional resources thread, I decided to make a new thread about Ultimate Campaign.
Incoming gush:
Love the character backgrounds. I'm thinking of using it to help create my next character(minus the mechanics that aren't approved yet). Also using Inner sea world guide of course. The downtime rules are incredible! Build all the shops! Or build a kingdom, or an army, or all of the above. Retraining, now we finally have a way to undo bad choices made while leveling up.
So what does everyone think will be allowed/disallowed?

I also love the character backgrounds, but I think I'll wait for the Golarion tie in book to utilize them.
I doubt any of the kingdom rules will be legal for PFS, we can't exactly have everyone in the campaign having their own piece of Golarion. Maybe they'd be used for sanctioned kingmaker portions, but beyond that I don't expect to see them or mass combat rules used in PFS.
Story feats could be interesting, but they'd likely need to be written into scenarios, since scenarios have to be run as written.
The majority of the traits should be fine barring those already banned (Rich Parents) or any that might be unsuitable for PFS.
Retraining I am unsure, since if time is not a factor a player could theoretically change nearly everything about their character between every scenario. It would however be nice to train out of options no longer viable or into new options such as when a new trait arrives and people suddenly want it for characters already past the rebuild point.

About retraining. If they were so inclined to spend all their gold they could retrain everything, but that would be the deterrent. I am of the opinion that they could sanction the retraining rules(wishful thinking) and maybe allow only one thing to be retrained, paying the appropriate gold cost and such.

Thread-necro powers, activate!
As far as retraining goes, I'd say allow it once per session, at the end of the session, at standard costs (time obviously not being a factor). It allows you to retrain out of regrettable decisions, without allowing complete character changes overnight.
It WOULD allow more system-gaming (such as an archer who wouldn't have the feats needed to get Precise Shot until third level retraining his first level feat into Point Blank Shot in order to qualify), but I think it's not an unacceptable amount of wackiness.
That being said: I do NOT support allowing the retrain HP option. I do not like the idea that people who spend the RL cash to get the book being able to have more HP than people who do not.

Ehh no. Is this available gold? So before I retain spend everything?
There are rare occasions you can retrain. If you DMed a lot for Gencon you get a rebuild boon. Trade for one.

That's not how it works. "Purchases" is not an option for retraining. Rather, you can retrain Skill Points, Spells Known, Feats, or a few other options. All of them cost an amount of gold that increases with your character level.

Of the Story Feats listed in Ultimate Campaign, here's my thoughts in regards to PFS:
- • Accursed The circumstances of lifting the curse are up to the GM. This one won't fly in PFS. Plus, you don't want to have Spell Resistance
+/- • Arisen I don't know if any of the high level scenarios feature a god's herald, and somehow I doubt it. The base Benefit of the feat would be fine, though.
+ • Battlefield Healer This could work if the GM noted the number of provoked attacks on a Chronicle Sheet. It's a little extra paperwork, but not much.
+ • Champion As with Battlefield Healer, this could work if the GM notes the number of foes defeated. However, the solo nature of the goal may be inappropriate for society play.
- • Damned The base Benefit is okay - great, even, but the Goal and Completion Benefit are inappropriate for the non-Evil nature of PFS.
+ • Deny the Reaper This one would be fine, though it should clarify that you cannot spend PP to meet the Goal's criteria.
- • Eldritch Researcher You cannot create new spells in PFS. Out.
+/- • Fearless Zeal This can possibly work, though I can see why some may see issues with it. The new PC Completion Benefit is effectively a powerful boon, and completion of the Goal is more or less GM fiat.
- • Feral Heart PFS doesn't really have room for the extended roleplay it would take to have a committed relationship with another character.
+ • Foeslayer Works just as well as Battlefield Healer and better than Champion.
- • Forgotten Past PFS doesn't have room for that sort of personal plot, unfortunately.
+/? • Glimpse Beyond While this one technically works, it also involves characters basically committing suicide if they get into a fight with the right sort of enemy, so long as they've got the PP for resurrection. Not great for the group-effort focus of PFS…
- • Innocent Blood Uh, no.
+/- • Liberator While this would be great, especially for Andoran folks… 200 is a pretty high number. Given the varied nature of Society scenarios, I don't think you can count on getting that high.
- • Lost Legacy As with Forgotten Past, PFS doesn't have room for this kind of plot.
- • Magnum Opus PFS characters can't use Craft outside of Day Job rolls, and don't have opportunities to perform for huge crowds/win the patronage of world leaders.
- • Monument Builder PFS characters can't use Craft.
- • Nation Builder Forgotten Past, Lost Legacy, Nation Builder. Same, same.
- • Nemesis Ditto.
- • Prophet *sigh* Nope.
-/? • Redemption The Goal may prove tricky to work in, but I can see it in some cases. However, this might lead to, for example, a Paladin intentionally performing an evil act in order to fall and qualify for this feat. Which would be dumb on so many levels.
? • Shamed This one is interesting. If PFS adopts some of Ultimate Campaign's Fame rules, it may then be possible to gain a 'title.'
- • Stronghold PFS characters can't take Leadership.
+ • Thief of Legend This is the sort of thing high level PFS characters do, right?
-/? • Town Tamer PFS characters don't stick around towns long enough to use this - unless Absalom counts? There are more than a few scenarios there…
- • True Love See Feral Heart.
- • Unforgotten See True Love.
- • Vengeance Same deal as Nemesis.
So, that leaves us with the following:
Arisen (maybe)
Battlefield Healer
Champion
Deny the Reaper
Fearless Zeal (maybe)
Foeslayer
Glimpse Beyond (maybe)
Liberator (maybe)
Shamed (maybe)
Thief of Legend
and maaaaybe Town Tamer (Absalom)

I'm wondering about some of the new talents that are in Ultimate Campaign and why they weren't made legal for PFS. There are quite a few that are class specific for the Magus and Alchemist among many others. One example I like is Bruising Intellect where you add your INT bonus to Intimidate checks.

What is a Talent?!
*Warning You may not get this*
Something that Bob does not have...
