So I was looking at Rogue Glory's Street Magician Archetype. You lose 2 skill points per level, Uncanny Dodge, and your trap abilities and instead get spell like abilities picked from the Wizard spell list that are useable twice per day each plus Prestidigitation at will. You get to pick a SLA at 1, 2, and every 2 levels after. You can get 1st level spells at 4, 2nd at 8, 3rd at 12, 4th at 16, and 5th at 20.
There are also specific Rogue talents for this; there is one that lets you get another SLA that you qualify for, one that lets you get another two uses per day of one you already have, and one that lets you choose a metamagic feat that you can add to your SLAs by spending points equal to the level adjustment from a special pool (1/2 lvl + cha mod).
I was thinking of making a performer/charlatan type character with with this (though it's hardly optimal). I'm still not entirely sure what I would pick so I thought I'd see if anyone here had any thoughts:
0th
1. Arcane Mark
2. Mage Hand
1st
4. Snapdragon Fireworks (with the rogue talent to be able to add Dazing)
6. Disguise Self, Vanish, or Forced Quiet
2nd
8. Glitterdust
10. Ghoul Touch (or Create Treasure Map)
3rd
12. Sepia Snake Sigil (no material cost, hell yeah)
14.
4th
16. Greater Invisibility
18.
5th
20. Permanency

I'd pick ones that have costly material components, as SLA do not have verbal, somatic or material.
Incorrect. You don't get out of the way of costly material components by taking spells as SLA's. That's why summoned creatures can't use SLA's that require them, such as Continual Flame.

The 5th level spell would come in at level 20, so I didn't think too hard about it; I was mostly thinking about it in terms of having a DM who would allow more things than the base spells listed under Permanency, plus no cost - it makes me wonder if the SLA cost restriction would apply for PCs as well as for Summoned Creatures, as I'm not someone's spell effect but a PC. It sounded really amusing to me :P
As far as Acid Splash, yeah I was thinking about it but the fact that it's only twice per day seemed iffy so was leaning something more for show or vanity.

The universal monster rules clearly says that SLA don't require any verbal, somatic, material or focus components because allthough they resemble spells, they are not.

I think you were thinking about the limitation of Summon Monster:
"A summoned monster cannot summon or otherwise conjure another creature, nor can it use any teleportation or planar travel abilities. Creatures cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support them. Creatures summoned using this spell cannot use spells or spell-like abilities that duplicate spells with expensive material components (such as wish)."
This limitation would not apply to a PC, unless he became a summoned creature for whatever reason.

At 0th level, I'd grab Detect Magic or Ghost Sound over Arcane Mark, personally.
Shield (+4 free AC) and Chill Touch (multiple touch attacks you can get Sneak Attack on) are probably your best picks at 1st, IMO. Though Vanish is a good choice, too. And Silent Image could potentially be great fun if used cleverly (though the others are better choices mechanically).
At 2nd, Mirror Image should be near the top of the list, though what you've got are pretty good, too.
At 3rd...maybe Fly? Dispel Magic might be shiny, too, depending on circumstances. Invisibility Sphere might well also be pretty cool.
At 4th, Dimension Door, Shadow Conjuration, and Beast Shape 2 are all excellent choices.
At 5th...well, you don't get it till 20th, as you say...but Beast Shape 3 might be cool, as might Magic Jar or Persistent Image.

How are the saving DCs set? Because honestly I feel like just putting a bit of work into your UMD and buying some wands is a better way of going about this for most of the spells people are suggesting.
I think to make this worth it you really need something that a) can't be feasibly put on a wand and b) supports sneak attack, because otherwise you're probably better off using wands or just going Archaeologist bard. Chill Touch was a good recommendation.
