AC Average

Advice

So for these classes, what's the usual AC around level 8 and 16?

Let's not use pure defender, or glass cannon builds. I'm rolling with a Qinggong Monk currently and I was just wondering how far off or how on par my AC will be throughout most of the campaign.

Let's say... if you like, you stumble upon Ring of Protection and/or Bracers of Armor. No spells or anything involved.

As a rule of thumb, a good gauge for AC can be determined by the Monster Statistics by CR table in the Monster Creation section of the Bestiary. Roughly speaking, I consider an AC of 10-15 above the "high attack" value of a CR equal to the character's level to be an appropriate AC range for most characters. If the character has other protections (DR, miss chances, etc.), then the AC can be a little lower.

High and low levels are slightly skewed from this rule of thumb because of the base armor values available.

OH! Well that chart is perfect. That pretty much answers it for me.
